Mobility Management Podcast with ATLAS Technology: On New Opportunities, Old Friends & Reimagining CRT Possibilities
Mike McCarthy and Chenna Strange discussed the company’s evolution as it celebrated its 15th anniversary.

January 28, 2026 by Laurie Watanabe

A new Mobility Management podcast sponsored by ATLAS Technology features new ventures and perspectives, while also honoring a longtime colleague and friend.

Mobility Management Editor in Chief Laurie Watanabe talked with ATLAS Technology’s Mike McCarthy, director of growth, and Chenna Strange, specializing in customer experience and support, as ATLAS Technology celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2025.

In the episode, McCarthy pointed out that the milestone was time “to evolve” as an organization — which led to a new user-friendly website, new help desk protocol and a new mission statement.

Strange, who is a former ATLAS user and has been in the Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) industry for more than two decades, explained how her experiences provided “first-hand insight” into what works and what doesn’t when it comes to revenue cycle management and operational efficiencies, including working to reduce billing errors and to identify opportunities for organic growth.

McCarthy also discussed ATLAS Clinical Evaluation Software (ACES), currently being used by more than 6,000 seating therapists and designed to be a system that “greatly increases successful collaboration the first time” for clinicians, referral sources and Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs).

To close the episode, McCarthy, Strange and Watanabe shared memories of longtime ATP Joe McKnight, a member of ATLAS Technology’s team, and the lessons McKnight offered his colleagues.

The Mobility Management podcast is free to access.
