Wheelchairs and wheelchair seating get most of the attention in seating clinic — but pediatric clients also spend much of their day outside of their wheelchairs as they interact with friends, classmates, teachers and family.
In an upcoming Mobility Management webinar — starting at 12 noon Eastern time, Tuesday, July 12 — a trio of seating clinicians will discuss optimal positioning throughout the day, as kids are eating breakfast, riding to school, standing in a classroom, napping after lunch, having dinner with their family, taking a bath, and heading off to dreamland.
Lee Ann Hoffman, OTD, MSc, OTR, ATP/SMS, CAPS; Caitlin Miller, OTD, OTR/L, ATP; and Cathy Ripmaster, MSPT, will be leading the conversation that culminates in a live Q&A session with attendees. An attendance certificate will also be offered.
Join Mobility Management Editor Laurie Watanabe for an hour of clinical education to discuss the different positioning needs that kids experience every day, the benefits of proper positioning when they’re not in their wheelchairs, and how different positions during the day can support function. Thanks to sponsorship by Amylior, Numotion, and Rifton, registration is free.
