For many complex seating clients, there can be no compromise when mounting components to position and support the pelvis, trunk, head, lower extremities and upper extremities. Unless those components are mounted in precisely the right locations — and unless those components stay securely in place — wheelchair riders can lose function and potentially can move into positions that raise risk for pressure injuries and other postural issues.

Ryan Cavender, Stealth Products’ technical support and education manager, and J.D. Concepcion, ATP, regional manager in the Great Lakes region and southeastern United States, will discuss the transformative power of customizable mounting solutions, and Stealth Products’ UniLink hardware, specifically designed to meet the needs that seating teams face every day.
Cavender, who graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin with a degree in kinesiology, will discuss the need for customizable mounting solutions across a range of settings and applications. He will also discuss the client outcomes at stake, and how to create tailored configurations for clients with very precise positioning needs.
Concepcion, a graduate of West Virginia University, entered the rehabilitation industry in 1994, beginning with hand-on custom seating fabrication, orthotics and prosthetics for a provider in Colorado. Since then, Concepcion has worked for providers as well as manufacturers.
