While the current COVID-19 pandemic has been making global headlines for months, the truth is that infection control is a critical concern for Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) consumers at all times because they’re often at higher risk for serious complications if they become ill.
To help to protect these consumers — as well as to potentially protect caregivers, family members, and seating and wheeled mobility professionals — Motion Concepts has created a “Matrx Infection Control” presentation that provides detailed instructions on proper care for and disinfection of Invacare Matrx products, including wheelchair seat cushions, headrests and backs.
The presentation was developed by Anna Sokol, RN, MN, BScKin, Clinical Education Specialist at Motion Concepts.
It includes instructions on which parts of seating products can be cleaned/disinfected and how to effectively do so.
The presentation also examines the different parts and options for Matrx products, such as covers and slipcovers, and how to optimally care for and clean each of them.
