Motion has announced dates and locations for its Rehab Expo tour coming to Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario this fall.
Each Motion Rehab Expo offers a complimentary full day of “education and networking for Canadian healthcare and industry professionals, including therapists, long-term care administrators, funding providers, and many others,” Motion said in an Aug. 28 announcement. “Attendees can expect 15-minute round-robin presentations from equipment manufacturers for both adult and pediatric solutions and the opportunity to trial and review the latest and greatest in rehab mobility, seating, and home accessibility products.”
Linda Norton, M.Sc.CH., Ph.D., OT Reg. (Ont.), Motion’s Director of Learning and Clinical Education, will present a funding-related CEU course — eligible for IACET credit — called, “The Art of Persuasive Clinical Justification: Getting the Right Equipment to Your Clients As Quickly As Possible.”
“The CEU is customized by province to feature a funding program as an example (e.g., Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (BC), Alberta Aids to Daily Living, March of Dimes (Ontario),” the announcement added.
Participating manufacturers, subject to change by location, include Amylior, Broda, Drive Medical, EasyStand, Freedom Concepts, Future Mobility Healthcare, Joerns, Ki Mobility, Motion Composites, Motion Concepts, Permobil, Pride Mobility/Quantum Rehab, Stander Inc., and Sunrise Medical.
