National Ramp to Sponsor United Spinal’s Roll on Capitol Hill

May 12, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

Next month’s Roll on Capitol Hill event has a new sponsor: National Ramp.

In an April 30 news announcement, National Ramp said it had signed on as a Premier-level sponsor of the advocacy event.

Garth Walker, Managing Director at National Ramp, said in the announcement, “The United Spinal Association is a great organization for us to partner with. In their 75 years, they have a long history of successfully advocating for people living with spinal cord injuries and disorders. We are proud to support their ongoing work and this year’s Roll on Capitol Hill.”

In 2021, Roll on Capitol Hill — scheduled for June 14-16 — will take place virtually, a first for the event. In an announcement about the event, VP of Government Relations Alex Bennewith said the event will focus on supporting legislation that would require Medicaid coverage of home and community-based services; supporting the Disability Access to Transportation Act; and lobbying support for a Congressional resolution, a proclamation, or a statement for the Congressional Record to recognize United Spinal Association’s 75th anniversary this year.

Andrew Miller, National Ramp’s Marketing Director, said of the company’s sponsorship, “It’s important for us to participate in the advocacy efforts for people with physical disabilities. As we look towards a barrier-free future, we’re happy to sponsor this great event. We look forward to maximizing the opportunities available to us through the Roll on Capitol Hill event, including engaging with United Spinal Association members at the virtual expo.”
