The National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART) is making changes to its board of directors.
In an Aug. 28 news announcement, NCART said Mickae Lee has joined the executive committee of the organization’s board of directors, and is the board’s new president.
Larry Jackson, president of Sunrise Medical North America, has also joined the board of directors’ executive committee as treasurer.
John Miller (Miller’s Rental and Sales) and Michael Barner (University of Michigan’s Wheelchair Seating Service) have completed their executive committee terms, but remain on NCART’s board.
“NCART would like to thank Johnny and Mike for all their years of service on the NCART executive committee,” said Wayne Grau, NCART executive director. “While we will miss their insight on the executive committee, we look forward to their continued board membership. We welcome Mickae from Permobil as the new president and Larry of Sunrise Medical as our treasurer.”
Before joining Permobil as the manufacturer’s senior manager of government affairs in January, Lee served as NCART’s associate director. She began doing work for NCART in 2009, and then joined the organization full time in 2013.
NCART will also be adding two members to its board, expanding from 15 to 17 members.
“As our organization’s membership continues to grow, the expansion of the board represents our commitment to deliver results for all the Complex Rehab companies we serve,” said Grau.
