With less than a month till the 2023 Virtual CRT Congressional Fly-In, co-hosting organizations NCART and NRRTS have released the schedule for the Fly-In and supportive events.
In a July 28 news update, NCART listed several pre-Fly-In meetings designed to prepare participants for more successful meetings. On Wed., Sept. 6, participants are being asked to attend a Prep Webinar (from 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern) to cover “schedules, virtual platforms and talking points” for the Fly-In.
State delegation practice — during which attendees can meet with fellow participants, learn the virtual platform to be used for the Fly-In, and discuss how they’ll organize their meetings — takes place 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern on Mon., Sept. 11.
A Congressional Debriefing, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern, will take place following the Fly-In on Wed., Sept. 13. The Fly-In takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern.
Once industry participants register for the event, they’ll be sent a link to the Mandatory Prep Webinar. Links for practice meetings, Congressional meetings, and the debriefing will be provided in the attendee portal of the virtual platform.
When participants register for the Fly-In, they will provide their home and work addresses so NCART/NRRTS’s event partner can schedule the Congressional appointments for Sept. 13. Congressional office contacts and meeting times will be e-mailed to participants the week before the Fly-In.
Registration and participation in the Fly-In and all other supportive events are free thanks to industry sponsors.
The four key “asks” for the Fly-In are to better understand the unique nature of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT); to support policies and legislation that protect and enhance access to CRT; to support ongoing action to establish Medicare coverage of power seat elevation and power standing; and to address the rising costs of providing CRT.
