NCART is making changes to how it communicates with members and other Complex Rehab Technology stakeholders.
In a March 6 bulletin to members, NCART said it will now send out newsletters at the start of the month rather than at the end, and that the organization will also send biweekly updates beginning March 20.
A new section — NCART in Action — will make it easier for stakeholders to stay up to date on the issues NCART is taking on, locally and beyond.
“NCART is fighting for the industry and to protect consumers from uninformed regulations, legislation, and policies that deny access,” the announcement said. “We are lobbying both on the federal and state levels, and we will be keeping you informed of our efforts.”
The association also “has invested in the services of a public relations firm to help us educate regulators, legislators, and consumers about the value of Complex Rehab equipment for the consumers that we serve. We look forward to spreading the word about CRT and its value to individuals who utilize our equipment.”
Among the front-and-center topics is last week’s final Medicare coding and payment determination for seat elevation on complex power wheelchairs. “NCART is conducting further analysis of the decision and will have a more detailed report along with scheduling educational webinars soon,” the organization added.
