The National Coalition for Rehab & Assistive Technology (NCART) has welcomed two additional board members.
In a Dec. 12 announcement to members, NCART said Brad Peterson (Amylior) and John Letizia (Laurel Medical Solutions) had been elected to fill two board seats added as a result of the association’s expansion.
Both Letizia and Peterson are Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) industry veterans.
Letizia is president of Laurel Medical Solutions, a Pennsylvania-based provider business specializing in CRT, home modifications, and orthotics/prosthetics. Letizia got his start as “a kid through my father’s pharmacy” and has been with Laurel Medical Solutions since its founding in 1987. Letizia also serves on the boards for the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare); Reagan’s Journey, a pediatric medical equipment repurposing closet; and United Spinal’s south-central Pennsylvania chapter.
Peterson, Amylior’s vice president of sales, began his CRT career as a physical therapy assistant at a public health hospital in Massachusetts, where, he said, “I was bit with the CRT bug and didn’t even know it.” He’s also worked for a provider business, but is probably best known for his work on the manufacturer side, with past positions at Quantum Rehab, Motion Concepts, Invacare Corp., and presently at Quebec-based Amylior.
“We are very excited to have Brad and John join the board and offer their experience and guidance as we continue strengthening the organization to represent the Complex Rehab industry at the federal and state levels,” a Dec. 18 bulletin from NCART said. “Welcome aboard!”
