Merits Health Products USA and Hoveround Mobility Solutions (HMS) have announced a strategic business partnership that will impact a number of the companies’ operational processes.
In an Aug. 1 press release, Hoveround said the new partnership would “enhance manufacturing efficiency, optimize supply chain operations, and expand product offerings. This collaboration enables HMS to strengthen its commitment to delivering high-quality mobility solutions while ensuring a seamless customer experience.”
Hoveround would be “improving efficiency, increasing scalability, and expanding its product portfolio” by partnering with Merits, the press release added. Merits “will assist with storage and shipping parts for HMS’s flagship MPV5 power chair, improving delivery times and service responsiveness. Additionally, both companies will share responsibilities for technical and parts support, ensuring a smooth experience for HMS customers nationwide.”
The companies will continue to operate as separate entities.
“This collaboration is a natural evolution for both companies,” Andrew Maskery, president of Merits Health Products USA, said in the announcement. “HMS has built a strong reputation for customer-focused mobility solutions, and by working together, we can streamline processes, strengthen supply chains, and continue delivering top-tier products to those who need them most.”
Merits Health Products is based in Taichung, Taiwan, with American headquarters in Fort Myers, Florida. Hoveround is based in Bradenton, Florida.
