NPIAP Calls for 2023 Conference Abstracts

September 8, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) is calling for abstracts for poster presentations to be featured at its March 2023 conference in San Diego.

In an Aug. 29 announcement, the NPIAP said it was welcoming abstracts “that support the NPIAP mission to improve patient outcomes in pressure injury prevention and management through education, public policy, and research.”

Accepted poster presentations will receive poster display time. The NPIAP will also present awards in the categories of Student, Young Investigator, and Best Overall, in addition to the Charlie Lachenbruch award.

The NPIAP will also select “a few outstanding submissions” to be presented from the podium at the conference.

Abstracts are being considered in the categories of pressure injury clinical research; bench/laboratory research; case study/case series; clinical practice guideline implementation via Quality Improvement; evidence-based practice; educational strategies; and practice innovation.

The submission deadline is Oct. 3. Notices of acceptance will be sent by Nov. 11.

The conference is scheduled for March 17-18 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. For more information, visit https://npiap.com/event/2023AnnualConf.
