The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) is now accepting applications for its 2023 small grants program.
The program provides “funding for small research projects, such as pilot studies,” the NPIAP said in a June 5 announcement.
Applications must address an NPIAP research priority, including pressure injury morphology and/or diagnostic accuracy; nutrition; current general and clinical issues for understudied populations, diseases and conditions that make patients vulnerable to pressure injuries; support surfaces; refining criteria for avoidable vs. unavoidable, end-of-life ulcers, and skin failure; and outcomes.
The award amount is $10,000 for a 12-month project duration. The submission deadline is Aug. 30, 2023, and the award announcement date is Oct. 31.
Clinicians, scientists, academic researchers, students, and NPIAP supporters are eligible to submit applications.
