NRRTS Members Elect New Officers

October 1, 2006 by Mobility Management

The National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (NRRTS) has elected its next group of officers, with members voting online for the first time in the organization’s history.

Weesie Walker, employed in National Seating & Mobility’s Atlanta office, was named president-elect and will take office in August 2007. Newly elected officers include Mike Osborn (secretary), Gerald Dickerson (treasurer), Michele Gunn (review chair, DMERC A), Elaine Stewart (review chair, DMERC D), Jack Craigs (board member at large) and John Zona (board member at large).

“As we go forward, we must continue to promote NRRTS and its registrants through high-quality educational programs and close association with other industry groups such as NCART, RESNA and the Clinician Task force, just to name a few,” Walker says. My mission as president is to involve more registrants to participate in our organization. There are many issues that threaten the way we serve our customers, and it will require everyone’s effort to maintain the course.”

Walker will succeed current President Mike Seidel, who is based in National Seating & Mobility’s Lenexa, Kan., office. Other current NRRTS officers are Leslie Rigg (VP), Rick Liston (board member), Rich Salm (board member), Kathy Fallon (review chair) and Renae Axelson (review chair).
