NSM Acquires Indiana Supplier

January 19, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has expanded its presence and reach in Indiana after acquiring Scooters N More.

In a news announcement, Scooters N More was described as “a leading provider of mobility and accessibility services in Indiana. As an approved mobility vendor with several VA [Veterans Affairs] facilities, the company has a proven track record of supporting the mobility needs of area veterans.” The business was founded by John Frantom in 1998.

Acquiring Scooters N More, NSM said, will expand its ability to provide “holistic mobility solutions” in Northern Indiana as well as to the Chicago metropolitan area.

NSM’s CEO, Bill Mixon, said in the announcement, “Our growing footprint supports our commitment to deliver 360-complete mobility solutions to more individuals who need them. We look forward to expanding the availability of innovative products, breakthrough technologies and best-in-class services supporting independence throughout Northern Indiana.”

NSM also noted that this latest acquisition supports the nationwide expansion of its independent living program partnership with The Home Depot. That partnership strives to support customers of The Home Depot who want to improve the accessibility and safety of their homes.
