NSM Adds ATPs in Key Markets

November 9, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has added veteran ATPs to several office locations.

In a Nov. 9 news announcement, NSM said those experienced ATPs have joined branches in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; McAllen, Texas; and Philadelphia.

Steven Ward, ATP, has joined the Myrtle Beach office. NSM noted that Ward “specializes in seating and mobility and assistive technology for the home” and has more than 10 years of experience in the industry.

Crystal Lee, ATP/SMS, CRTS, has joined the NSM office in Philadelphia. During her 38 years in the industry, Lee has worked as a service technician, a manufacturer’s representative, and a manufacturer regional trainer. While Lee has worked with pediatric clients in the past, she’s now focusing mainly on adult clients in clinics and hospitals. NSM added that Lee also mentors new ATPs.

Michael Bird, ATP/SMS, is now with NSM’s McAllen location. With 27 years’ experience in rehab sales and service as well as vehicle modifications, Bird has specialized in working with clients with neuromuscular conditions, such as muscular dystrophy and ALS, during his career.

Bill Mixon, NSM’s CEO, said in the announcement, “Strategically growing our footprint allows us to provide best-in-class services and support to more clients. Employing the industry’s best ATPs ensures that we are able to be a lifelong, trusted mobility solutions partner for our clients. The experienced ATPs appointed in these key markets bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our growing team of experts.”

Mixon added, “Being a best-in-class organization involves an investment in resources supporting the continued development of our national network of ATPs. Bringing passionate experts like Steven, Crystal, and Michael on board strengthens our ability to enhance our national network of ATPs and provide these professionals with the additional training and support they need to continually grow.”

NSM currently has more than 190 locations in the United States and Canada.
