National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is saying farewell to a long-time VP who’s retiring.
In a May 22 press release, NSM said John Bertone has announced his retirement as VP of NSM’s west region. Matt Nelis has been promoted to succeed Bertone.
Tony Ueber, CEO of NSM, said in the news release, “Matt’s reputation for building culture and his dedication to serving our clients has made him an impactful leader at NSM. His commitment to our mission and his prior experience within the company make him the best candidate for this position. We are pleased to be able to promote someone from within the organization to this important leadership role in our west region.”
Ueber also praised Bertone’s work at NSM: “While it is always hard to see such talented leaders move on, we wish him all the best. He impacted the lives of so many of our team members and clients, and his legacy and passion for our mission will be remembered.”
Bertone has been with NSM for 14 years and has led teams in the field operations, home accessibility, and mergers and acquisitions divisions, as well as the provider’s operations in Canada.
Nelis joined NSM in 2016 as a Midwest regional area director. In 2021, he was promoted to a national leadership position within NSM’s Home Access division.
