NSM Expands Home Accessibility Services in Georgia

March 15, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

Seating & Mobility (NSM) has expanded its home accessibility services in the Atlanta area.

In a March 11 bulletin, NSM announced it has acquired Blue Moose Elevators & Stairlifts, which serves consumers in Atlanta and the surrounding areas.

Founded in 2005, Blue Moose Elevators & Stairlifts specializes in stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, and elevators for residences and commercial buildings. Four employees from the company will join NSM as part of the acquisition.

Bill Mixon, NSM’s CEO, said in the announcement, “Blue Moose Elevators has an outstanding reputation and people-centered culture that aligns well with our own. We are pleased to welcome this team of experienced professionals to NSM and look forward to expanding the mobility and accessibility options available to clients in and around Atlanta.”

NSM added that the acquisition will further its home accessibility partnership with The Home Depot. Select Home Depot stores across the country now feature Independent Living Centers that offer home accessibility services. Home Depot customers can request consultations and get expert home accessibility advice, products and installations from NSM’s accessibility team.
