National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has acquired Alabama Wheelchair Specialists, located in Birmingham, Ala.
In an Aug. 16 announcement, NSM said it would serve Alabama Wheelchair Specialists’ clients from NSM’s existing Pelham, Ala., location.
With the acquisition, NSM adds Mike Oliver and Dave Nix to its ATP list. The announcement noted that Oliver and Nix have a combined 77 years of experience in complex rehab and seating. NSM has also added a funding specialist and a technician to the Pelham location.
“This acquisition not only expands our service area in the state, but also broadens the service offerings and choices for individuals with mobility challenges in Alabama,” said NSM CEO Bill Mixon.
Nix said in the announcement, “We are happy to be joining the NSM family. NSM’s client-focused mission aligns with our own. We know the resources and support they offer will ensure the best solutions for our clients for years to come.”
NSM has three offices in Alabama, in Mobile, Montgomery and Pelham.
