NSM Expands in Northeastern U.S.

July 24, 2018 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has expanded again, this time in the Northeastern part of the United States.

In a July 19 news announcement, NSM said it had acquired Maximum Mobility, located in Sayre, Pa.

Maximum Mobility serves northeastern Pennsylvania and the greater central New York state area, according to its Web site. The JCAHO-accredited provider has sold scooters, lifts and ramps in addition to complex rehab seating and mobility.

Occupational therapist Jeff Klossner, ATP, founded the company 15 years ago. Klossner will stay on to lead the new NSM location as its branch manager.

NSM said it would use Maximum Mobility’s retail space as a site for an AccessNSM location. AccessNSM, NSM’s accessibility division, sells home and environmental access equipment.

Bill Mixon, NSM’s CEO, said in the news announcement, “New locations allow us to reach more individuals in need of mobility solutions. We are proud to partner with healthcare providers and therapists in the market to find innovative ways to help their patients move through life.”
