NSM Expands with Multiple-Office Tennessee Acquisition

April 28, 2018 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility’s (NSM) latest expansion is happening in its own corporate backyard.

Last week, NSM announced it had purchased Professional Rehab & Mobility, which had locations in Chattanooga, Knoxville and Kingsport, Tenn.

Since NSM’s corporate headquarters is located in Franklin, Tenn., the expansion is in the complex rehab technology provider’s (CRT) backyard.

Bill Mixon, NSM’s CEO, acknowledged as much in the news announcement of the acquisition.

“Tennessee is home to both our corporate headquarters in Franklin, and our operations center in Chattanooga, making this acquisition particularly special to NSM,” he said. “We are driven to continue to expand our reach to impact more individuals in need of mobility solutions, and are proud to work with therapists and physicians across the state to bring mobility and independence to clients across the state.”

With the purchase, seven ATPs and two RTS’s join NSM’s roster and will continue to operate out of the Chattanooga, Knoxville and Kingsport offices.

In addition to its corporate headquarters, NSM has branch offices in Nashville and Memphis. Adding the three new locations enables the CRT giant to now operate statewide.
