NSM Expands with Texas Acquisition

January 25, 2019 by Laurie Watanabe

A new acquisition in Fort Worth has expanded National Seating & Mobility’s (NSM) reach in the Lone Star State.

In a Jan. 21 news announcement, NSM said it had acquired First Care Medical Equipment, based in Fort Worth.

Bill Mixon, NSM’s CEO, said of the announcement, “First Care Medical Equipment LLP has been a leader in Texas for home accessibility products and services for many years. We look forward to expanding our reach in Texas with this respected team.”

First Care Medical Equipment was founded in 1998 by Robby Halcomb, a complex rehab technology industry veteran. NSM said Halcomb, ATP Ray Deshazer, and the CRT team from First Care Medical will be transitioning over to NSM.

They’ll work out of the NSM office at 5470 E Loop 820 South. NSM has 10 offices in Texas in the cities of Abilene, Austin, Beaumont, Dallas, Houston, McAllen, Midland, San Antonio, Waco, and now, Fort Worth.

NSM holds its annual seating symposium in Orlando, Fla., next month.
