NSM Momentum Academy Announces Oregon Venue

June 20, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is taking its Momentum Academy to Portland, Ore.

In a June 20 news announcement, the provider said the Aug. 18 event aims “to educate clinical partners, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers on mobility solutions, industry best practices, and the latest in assistive technology.”

The Momentum Academy will take place at the DoubleTree Hotel in Portland, on Multnomah St., near the Oregon Convention Center.

Three different morning and afternoon educational tracks will cover the impacts of wheelchair configuration, therapeutic interventions, seating and positioning, and funding and documentation best practices, the NSM announcement said.

An assistive technology exhibit hall will be open to consumers from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Gold sponsors Invacare Corp., Ki Mobility, Permobil, Quantum Rehab, and Sunrise Medical will be exhibiting, as will silver sponsors Altimate Medical, Inspired by Drive, Merits Health Products, Rifton, and SleepSafe Beds. Attendance is free for consumers.

Registration for the professional portion of Momentum Academy is $45 per person, with registration for the Portland event open until Aug. 12. For more information on the Portland event as well as other Momentum Academy dates and venues, check out the NSM Web site.
