NSM Named a Top Workplace in Middle Tennessee

June 28, 2019 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has been named a 2019 “Top Workplace in Middle Tennessee” by The Tennessean, a newspaper based in Nashville.

In a news announcement, NSM CEO Bill Mixon said, “NSM is proud to be named a Middle Tennessee Top Workplace, an award that reflects the culture we’ve worked hard to cultivate. Our client-centric culture is about collectively understanding that we serve a mission, and the power of commitment and importance of family are integrated in the culture we embrace for our staff and clients.”

Energage is a research organization that coaches companies on company culture and that supports the Top Workplaces program. Its CEO, Doug Claffey, said of the award, “Top Workplaces is more than just recognition. Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

NSM currently has 142 office locations in the United States and Canada. The provider employees more than 1,900, with 75 based at the Franklin, Tenn., corporate headquarters and Middle Tennessee branch offices.

NSM launched a new brand identity, company vision and mission statement in early 2018.

“HEARTS is the acronym for NSM’s core values, standing for Honor, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork and Service,” Mixon said. “These values not only serve as a reminder to always have our clients’ best interests at heart, but also shape our culture and guide everything we do.”
