With frequent news reports about airlines mangling seating and mobility equipment — not to mention the daily difficulties of navigating cities with narrow sidewalks and few curb-cuts — you might wonder how truly accessible the world is for people who use wheelchairs.
National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is on a quest to find out via its ongoing “Best of the Best” voting, going on till Dec. 15.
NSM’s survey asks participants to vote in such categories as Most Accessible City; Best Airline; Best Car Rental; Most Accessible Ride-Sharing Service; Most Accessible Restaurant Chain; Best Adaptive Clothing Brand; and Best Beach. Winners will be highlighted in the Spring 2023 issue of NSM’s Let’s Get Moving magazine for consumers and caregivers.
