Numotion Acquires HME of Texas

November 4, 2016 by Laurie Watanabe

National complex rehab technology provider Numotion has acquired Home Medical Equipment of Texas, a privately owned company based in Fort Worth.

In a news announcement, Mike Swinford, Numotion’s CEO, said of the acquisition, “HME of Texas has a great reputation throughout the state for providing customers with premier products and services. Their knowledge of the Texas market, specifically the eastern and western parts of the state, will improve our coverage and enable us to positively impact many more lives by serving the mobility needs of more customers.”

Numotion indicated that HME of Texas has “extensive experience” in working with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability’s (DADS) Applied Income Program.

“Best practices will be applied at Numotion to streamline and improve how the company interacts with DADS to ensure choice and mobility needs for customers are optimized,” Numotion said in the news statement.

Issam Bou-Hamdan, owner of HME of Texas said, “Our team of 13 is looking forward to being a part of the Numotion team because it offers additional resources to help better serve our customers. From products to a better service and repair network, our customers will have access to an improved purchasing experience.”

Numotion indicated that its current Fort Worth office and HME of Texas will join forces and move into a new facility next year. Until then, HME of Texas will continue to work in its current office location.

HME of Texas was founded in 1993 and specializes in a range of complex rehab and durable medical equipment solutions.
