Monroe Wheelchair, one of complex rehab technology’s most venerable providers, has been acquired by Numotion.
Monroe’s portfolio also includes extensive augmentative and alternative communications technology and services.
Mike Swinford, Numotion’s CEO, said in a news announcement, “We are excited to welcome Monroe Wheelchair to the Numotion team in order to better serve customers in New York State. More than 80 complex rehab and Speech Design employees from Monroe Wheelchair will transition to Numotion as part of the agreement. Monroe’s three locations in New York — Albany, Rochester, and Syracuse — will remain open, giving Numotion three more offices in the state.
