Numotion Expands with Western U.S. Acquisition

November 8, 2018 by Laurie Watanabe

Numotion has expanded its presence in the western United States by acquiring the complex rehab technology (CRT) division of Medsource.

In a Nov. 1 news announcement, Numotion said the acquisition would expand the provider’s reach in Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Idaho.

Mike Swinford, Numotion’s CEO, said in the announcement, “We are happy to welcome Medsource to the Numotion team. Medsource is a well-respected company that has provided excellent care and service to customers during its 29 years of business. Medsource has a unique model that has been highly successful. We are excited to learn from this team and look forward to applying their knowledge to positively impact and serve many more customers in the region.”

As a result of the acquisition, 66 Medsource employees have joined the Numotion staff.

Medsource Home Medical opened for business in 1989. The company also sells prosthetics, orthotics and urological supplies.

David Charles, Medsource’s President, said in the announcement, “We are thrilled to announce that our CRT division has been acquired by Numotion. Numotion is a great fit for us. Its employee-supportive culture provides a larger footprint for our team, in terms of training and career opportunities and Numotion’s customer-centric focus parallels perfectly with our business. This is the natural next step in the evolution of our company.”
