Numotion has introduced a way to facilitate the intensive, highly detailed documentation work required for Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) orders.
The new LMN [letter of medical necessity] Navigator is “a first-of-its-kind documentation platform designed to streamline, simplify and strengthen the process of completing mobility evaluations,” Numotion said in a Sept. 10 news announcement. “LMN Navigator delivers a guided workflow experience that helps therapists, Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs), and care teams efficiently collaborate while ensuring compliance with industry standards.”
Numotion, a national CRT provider based in Brentwood, Tennessee, said its LMN Navigator offers a number of features and benefits, including simplicity: The system’s smart question/answer logic displays only relevant fields and integrates with Numotion data to prefill customer information. It also automatically routes documents to orders.
Therapists can use LMN Navigator to securely and compliantly collaborate with ATPS “across multiple sections of the assessment and eliminates the need for faxing by incorporating electronic signatures and automatic document routing.”
LMN Navigator also proactively flags documentation conflicts and potential denials “to help ensure accurate, defensible clinical documentation.” The system further supports therapists and ATPs by helping to safeguard them from compliance risks, and “populates an industry-standard mobility evaluation template authored by the clinician.”
While LMN Navigator can be a great tool even for experienced seating and wheeled mobility clinicians, Numotion said it was designed to be particularly helpful for therapists with limited experience in completing mobility evaluations; for clinicians who want a compliant way to collaborate on documentation with provider ATPs; for therapists who “typically use third-party systems or write narrative-style LMNs”; and for providers in multiple care settings, such as home health, outpatient, private practice, skilled nursing facilities, and telehealth.
“Documentation for mobility evaluations has historically been tedious, fragmented and prone to errors,” said John Pryles, Numotion’s chief commercial and operations officer. “With LMN Navigator, we’re giving therapists and ATPs a tool that not only simplifies the process, but also enhances collaboration and ensures compliance, ultimately helping customers get the mobility solutions they need faster.”
“LMN Navigator is another example of how Numotion continues to invest in tools and technology that improve the customer experience and reduce barriers in accessing critical equipment,” added Justin Peterfish, Numotion vice president of sales operations.
Earlier this month, Numotion announced it had completed its acquisition of Canadian provider Motion, formerly Motion Specialties.
