Numotion and Vantage Mobility International (VMI) have formed a business partnership to increase consumers’ awareness of mobility solutions of all kinds.
The July 1 announcement followed a pilot program that was tested in strategic markets during the first half of the year. VMI and Numotion described that pilot program as a success, and a spokesperson for VMI said the positive result “has prompted us to scale up to a national partnership at all 140 Numotion locations.”
AMS Vans and VMI signature dealers participated in that pilot program.
Mike Swinford, Numotion’s CEO, said in the news announcement, “Numotion has been providing individually configured and personalized solutions for families in the disability community for many years, and this partnership gives us additional products and services to ensure that all of their mobility needs are met. This partnership makes perfect sense, because Numotion and VMI share a mission to help people with mobility challenges achieve greater independence and have access to everyday living, including an active lifestyle.”
VMI CEO Mark Shaughnessy said of the partnership, “We want to increase awareness of the availability and options of wheelchair-accessible vehicles for people in the disability community and their caregivers, to help them achieve freedom and independence. This partnership with Numotion is designed to offer information, raise consumer awareness and create a total solution for our mutual customers from a single, convenient location. We believe that our customers will greatly benefit from this and ensure that their mobility solutions fit together for the best possible experience with their vehicle and adaptive equipment.”
A VMI spokesperson told Mobility Management, “The partnership is a collaborative effort to inform our mutual customers about options in accessible vehicles through VMI and its companies, as well as to inform them about options in complex rehab technology products and services provided by Numotion. Our goal is to have well-informed customers and assist them in meeting their entire need related to mobility.”
The national program will roll out in coming months, and both Numotion and VMI will strategically market the program.
