Ottobock Announces Personnel Changes

October 7, 2014 by Laurie Watanabe

Ottobock has more personnel moves to report.

Matt Swiggum, VP of Mobility Solutions, has been named Executive VP of Sales for North America, the manufacturer announced in a news release.

Swiggum, who was a sales representative when he started with Ottobock in 1997, has also been director of sales for Technical Orthopedics, and business unit director for Mobility Solutions.

In his new role, Ottobock said Swiggum would serve “as the leader for the Ottobock sales representatives across all business units with the goal to expand the region’s selling skills, share best practices and ensure that all customers get the best, most consistent Ottobock experiences when working with the company.”

Ottobock also announced the promotion of Frank Oschell to fill the new position of national director of sales for Mobility Solutions.

Oschell joined Ottobock in 2007 as a sales rep and moves up from his previous position of Eastern Regional Sales Manager.

The manufacturer said Oschell would “take over all related sales activities for the U.S. Complex Rehab division of Ottobock, a growing business area of the company. As a result, he will work directly with national and key accounts and continue to support and develop current and future partnerships.”

The American division of Ottobock recently relocated to Austin, Texas.
