A Feb. 7 teleconference co-hosted by People for Quality Care and the Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers (PAMS) will educate beneficiaries about the dangers of Medicare’s national competitive bidding (NCB) program.
Bidding for Round 2 of the controversial program began on Jan. 30.
“Leading the town hall meeting will be People for Quality Care (PFQC) representatives and local medical professionals who understand the impacts of the program,” said a bulletin describing the event. “There will also be an opportunity to have questions answered on the call.”
The teleconference starts at 3 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Stakeholders interested in participating can call Beth Cox at (866) 544-7913, or visit peopleforqualitycare.org.
PFQC is a division of The VGM Group. Its mission, the organization says, “is to educate people with disabilities, their families and senior Medicare beneficiaries about health policy changes that affect their freedom of choice.”
