Seating & mobility consumers and the professionals who work with them now have another tool to get answers to questions regarding complex rehab technology, DME and home care.
People for Quality Care (PFQC), an advocacy group founded by the VGM Group, has launched “PFQC Q&A Series” as a way to get responses to critical healthcare questions, says PFQC Director of Advocacy Kelly Turner.
“The series was created in response to the many questions medical equipment users and HME groups have asked us,” Turner said in a PFQC news release.
Lalaina Rabary, PFQC’s communications & marketing specialist, explained how the project works: “Anybody can submit a question to us, and if the question is approved, we will do what it takes to get their question answered. We want readers and stakeholders to really drive this series.”
The first question that the Q&A series tackled as “Is home care reform a priority for Congress?” PFQC said it received responses from Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) and Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.).
PFQC said the second question will be related to the difficulties Medicare beneficiaries have experienced when trying to get their wheelchairs repaired.
