Claes Ruth
Permobil has chosen a health care industry veteran to be its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Claes Ruth will take over as CFO on May 4, Permobil said in a Feb. 12 announcement. Ruth, based in Stockholm, will also become part of Permobil’s group management team. He is succeeding Charlotta Nyberg, Permobil’s CFO for the last four-plus years.
Ruth most recently served as CFO for Kry, Sweden’s largest digital health care provider and a major physical care provider. Ruth also served in several senior operational and financial positions at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset, including managing director of medical diagnostics.
“Claes brings a great blend of financial, operational and strategic leadership experience,” said Permobil CEO Chuck Witkowski in the announcement. “His sharp analytical mindset and collaborative approach make him an excellent fit for our team. With his background, Claes will help accelerate our growth and deliver sustainable financial results so we can deliver even more groundbreaking solutions to the people who rely on us. We’re excited to welcome him.”
“I’m truly excited to join Permobil,” Ruth said. “The company’s mission and its innovation driven culture resonate strongly with me. I look forward to contributing to the next phase of growth together with the talented people across Permobil.”
