Permobil’s new chair of the board has been a board member for almost a decade.
Tomas Puusepp replaces Martin Lundstedt, who has been the board’s chair since 2013.
Puusepp has more than 40 years of experience in international medical technology, including a long tenure at Elekta AB, where he served as president and CEO. Stockholm-based Elekta AB develops equipment and services to treat cancer.
“I am both pleased and honored to assume the role of chair of the board at Permobil,” Puusepp said in a Feb. 26 announcement. “During my 10 years on the board, I’ve contributed to shaping the direction of this Swedish industrial icon, and I look forward to continuing that work together with the board and management. I would also like to extend, on behalf of the entire board, our sincere thanks to Martin Lundstedt for his 13 years of dedicated leadership and his significant contributions to establishing Permobil as a world leader in advanced assistive mobility.”
“It has been a privilege to chair Permobil’s board,” Lundstedt said. “I am proud of the company’s progress and confident that Tomas Puusepp, with his strong leadership and deep industry experience, is the right person to guide Permobil into its next chapter. As I prepare to step down to focus on other commitments, I remain excited about the company’s future and look forward to following its continued success.”
