Pride Mobility Launches Group 2 Jazzy Air MED
Mid-wheel-drive power chair provides 12 inches of seat elevation.

Jazzy Air MED power chair in elevated position.Pride Mobility has launched a Group 2 Standard power wheelchair offering 12 inches of seat elevation.

In a Nov. 20 news announcement, the manufacturer introduced the Jazzy Air MED, described as “a dynamic power chair designed to meet your needs for HCPCS codes K0830 and K0831, and to provide your customers with a next-level mobility experience.”

The mid-wheel-drive Jazzy Air MED features Active-Trac Suspension to provide a stable ride, whether its user chooses captain’s seating or a solid seat pan. Wheelchair riders can drive up to 3.71 mph while fully elevated or while non-elevated. The power chair has a 24.41-inch turning radius and measures 33.86 inches (and 41.54 inches with the footplate). The chair has an overall width of 23.25 inches, with a 31.18-inch base width.

The power chair has 6-inch solid casters front and back. Wheelchair riders can anticipate a per-charge range of up to 13 miles with 300 lbs. in the chair (and up to 14.1 miles with 220 lbs. in the chair). The Jazzy Air MED has a 300-lb. weight capacity and comes in Matte Black.

Options include a swing-away joystick, cushions by Stealth Products, elevating legrests, swing-away legrests, and heel loops. Accessories include holders for a walker, cane, cup, or cell phone; a flag kit; a 50- or 70-inch lap belt; an oxygen tank holder; a rear basket; a saddlebag; a cover to protect against inclement weather; and an XLR USB charger.

Pride Mobility added that the Jazzy Air MED will begin shipping in mid December.
