Quantum Rehab Hosts Design Forums for Clinicians

November 16, 2017 by Laurie Watanabe

During two-day Design Forums this year, Quantum Rehab invited dozens of clinicians from rehabilitation facilities to share their ideas, with the goal of advancing complex rehab technology (CRT).

In all, 42 clinicians from across the country participated in 2017 Forums to share their CRT experiences with Quantum Rehab personnel.

Jay Brislin, VP of Quantum Rehab, said in a news announcement, “We seek constant input from consumers, providers and clinicians to ensure Quantum delivers innovative, market-driven mobility technology. This type of intensive forum is invaluable to us.”

Brislin pointed out that previous Quantum Design Forums helped to develop the manufacturer’s new front-wheel-drive 4Front power wheelchair.

When it came to the Forums’ ability to bring out new ideas, “This year’s events were no exception,” Brislin said. He added that participants were gracious in “providing the most grounded, real-world input and feedback toward improving rehab technology for all.”

Julie Piriano, compliance officer and VP of Clinical Education and Industry Affairs, said the events also gave clinicians the chance to share ideas with colleagues.

“The diversity of clinicians from across the country creates a wonderful resource for attendees to learn from each other. The collaborative knowledge that comes from the Forums is invaluable to everyone. We’re privileged to have these opportunities to not just add a greater stakeholder voice to our products, but to also acknowledge the exceptional work of the clinician community.”
