Edge 4 power wheelchair is shown elevated.Quantum Rehab has launched the Quantum Edge 4 mid-wheel-drive (MWD) Group 3 Complex Rehab power wheelchair.

“The idea behind Edge 4 emerged from the extremely successful Edge 3 Stretto,” Marketing and Communications Coordinator Keith Hickox in a Sept. 15 announcement. “Our engineers built upon the Edge predecessors, integrated several popular elements from the Stretto and also added new features to this robust, full-size base.”

The Edge 4 is compatible with Quantum’s TRU-Balance 4 power seating, which features anterior tilt, 12 inches of iLevel seat elevation, a power articulating foot platform, and memory seating. TRU-Balance 3 power seating is also compatible. The Edge 4 uses a Q-Logic 3 controller with Bluetooth capabilities and features a Stealth Products seat cushion with Coolcore technology.

With its Independent Smooth Ride Suspension, 7-inch front and rear casters, switch-operated LED accent lights integrated into the front casters and rear fenders, and increased battery range up to 18.1 miles per charge, the Edge 4 was designed to navigate swiftly and smoothly outdoors. But a 22.8-inch turning radius and 24.02-inch base width also enable precise maneuverability indoors and in tight spaces.

The Edge 4 has a 300-lb. weight capacity and can be coded as standard (K0848/K0849), single-power (K0857/K0856), or multiple-power (K0861). Top speed is 7 mph, or 4.5 mph with the seat elevated.

Options include a backup camera, a depth-adjustable vent tray, and 12×12-inch seat width/depth with iLevel.
