Rehab Medical has acquired Boomers Medical Equipment, dba Risch Home Health Care, located in Lancaster, Ohio.
The acquisition, finalized on Jan. 1, 2026, was announced by Rehab Medical on Feb. 4. Rehab Medical announced in January that it had acquired New York-based Consolidated Medical, a deal also finalized on Jan. 1.
The newest addition “further strengthens Rehab Medical’s presence and capabilities within the Columbus market,” the announcement noted. “Risch Home Health Care has served the Central Ohio community since 1984, earning a reputation for personalized service, clinical expertise, and strong patient relationships across Complex Rehab and medical supply services.”
While Rehab Medical said clients of Risch Home Health Care “will continue working with the same trusted team while gaining access to Rehab Medical’s expanded resources, specialized mobility expertise and operational support,” the Risch Home Health Care staff will be moving into Rehab Medical’s Columbus, Ohio, office. “All four Boomers Medical employees will transition.”
Boomers Medical’s medical supply services business will become part of Rehab Medical’s resupply division.
Risch Home Health Care, founded in 1984, provides aids to daily living, bath hygiene equipment, beds, enteral nutrition, incontinence supplies, lift chairs, nebulizers, patient lifts, stairlifts, power mobility and manual mobility.
“Protecting our patients and ensuring continuity of care was my top priority,” said Robert Bradford, CEO of Boomers Medical Equipment, in the announcement. “Rehab Medical shares our values and commitment to service, and I’m confident our patients and referral partners will continue to receive the same level of care they expect.”
“This acquisition reflects our commitment to thoughtful growth — strengthening existing markets, integrating great teams, and expanding our ability to serve patients with consistency and care,” said Kevin Gearheart, president, Rehab Medical. “Risch Home Health Care has built a legacy of trust in central Ohio, and we’re proud to carry that forward.”
