February 16, 2023 by Laurie Watanabe

RESNA’s 2023 annual conference will take place in person, in New Orleans.

The conference is scheduled for July 24-26 at the New Orleans Marriott. In a nod to the city’s musical history, RESNA’s theme for the conference is “Move to the BeAT of Innovation.”

The event features two and a half days of education, product demonstrations, student competitions, scientific paper platforms, and networking opportunities. Assistive technology products will be available to try out in the new Experience Hall.

IACET CEUs will be available as well. Registration opens in March, and registration discounts will be available for groups, students, and international attendees.

RESNA President Carmen DiGiovine, in a Web site message that explained the choice of the event’s location, said, “The New Orleans International Airport has over 60 non-stop flights and 18 airlines. That includes non-stop flights from Canada and Mexico City. It’s also within a day’s drive of Atlanta, Nashville, Jacksonville, and most cities in Texas. Our hotel is the New Orleans Marriott on Canal Street. It’s within walking distance of the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and Jackson Square.”

The deadline for Scientific Papers and Student Scientific Papers is Feb. 24.
