Ride Designs Hires Marketing Veteran

March 31, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

Ride Designs has hired an industry veteran for its marketing team.

In a March 28 news announcement, Rich Salm, Ride Designs VP of Sales & Marketing, said, “It gives me great pleasure to announce that Ride Designs has retained the services of Barry Steelman of Steelman Marketing to be our new Director of Marketing.

“Barry comes to Ride with decades of high-level leadership experience in the Complex Rehab manufacturing sector, providing everything from ad campaigns to artistic design, branding, trade show booth design, video production, Web sites and more. Barry has created some of our industry’s most iconic work for organizations such as Permobil, Stealth Products, ROHO, and TiLite to name a few. We are excited to have Barry lead our marketing efforts now and into our next decade. The Ride brand is in good hands.”

Steelman said of his new position, “I look forward to working with the Ride Designs team, and I am excited to help them reach the next level of success. They have a successful brand presence and have enjoyed good marketing direction in the past. I look forward to using my talents and experience in the Complex Rehab Technology industry to help them reach an even higher level of success.”

Ride Designs, a division of Aspen Seating, designs and manufactures wheelchair seat cushions and backrests that the company notes “are backed by both university-level research and years of clinical application.” The company is based in Littleton, Colo.
