Sunrise Medical Launches QUICKIE Power Portfolio Upgrades

October 22, 2020 by Laurie Watanabe

Sunrise Medical has announced a trio of upgrades to its QUICKIE power wheelchair portfolio.

C-Me, the system that combines seat elevation with real-world driving functionality, has been highly popular on QUICKIE Q700M power chairs. Now C-Me is available on Q500M and Q400M chairs to enable those power chair users to drive up to 3 mph while elevated up to 12 inches (and without needing to stop to transition). Because C-Me doesn’t require the power chairs’ suspensions to be locked out, the ride remains smooth and comfortable.

Sunrise’s new SEDEO LITE seating system (pictured) is an adjustable seat frame with a simple, sleek look. Because of the SEDEO LITE’s light weight, a Q500M power chair with the new seating system has a starting weight of just 266 lbs., a statistic important for consumers who use hitch-mounted lifts to transport their power wheelchairs. The SEDEO LITE features traditional back canes width adjustable from 15 inches to 20 inches, and the system is compatible with JAY backs and most aftermarket back supports.

Sunrise will also now offer a tilt and seat elevation combination so consumers don’t have to choose between the two positioning options.

Jeff Rogers, Sunrise Medical’s Director of Power Product Management, said of the introductions, “We are excited to expand our popular features and options on the line of QUICKIE power wheelchairs with the addition of C-Me and SEDEO LITE on the Q500M. C-Me has been a highly demanded feature on other QUICKIE power wheelchair models, and it only made sense to expand the feature to a smaller wheel base. With the addition of the SEDEO LITE, we have a full line of seating frame options from mild to complex clinical needs.”
