Symmetric Designs Launches Free Form Seating App

June 9, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

Configuring complex custom seating systems in the field just got easier.

Symmetric Designs has launched a free app for its modular Free Form Seating Back kits.

In a news announcement, Symmetric Designs noted that the new Free Form Seating app “provides extra functionality when configuring a Free Form Back Kit. The step-by-step process within the app provides a clear platform to explore all the accessories and options for one of the eight pre-configured Back Kits, as well as providing the opportunity to create a custom-shaped Free Form shell with a custom cover.”

The app is available to download from the Apple Store or Google Play Store… or take a shortcut by going to the Symmetric Designs Web site: www.symmetric-designs.com/free-form-seating. From there, you can click to be taken to the app in the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

Free Form Seating is HCPCS coded E2617 for Custom Fabricated Wheelchair Back Cushion, Any Size, Including Any Type Mounting Hardware.

Last fall, Symmetric Designs announced the launch of XL and XXL Back Kits to fit bariatric clients using wheelchairs up to 24″ wide. The XL Free Form Back Kit fits wheelchair widths 20″ to 22″ wide; the XXL size fits 22″ to 24″ widths. The XL and XXL Back Kits come standard with Stimulite honeycomb covers.
