The Comfort Company has been officially named the American distributor for Vicair Technology, which is used in creating customized wheelchair cushions.
Vicair systems use large numbers of individual air cells inserted into a cushion shell. Air cells can be added or removed to accommodate a range of user sizes and weights, in addition to clinical needs. Cushions using Vicair technology include the Vector and the Adjuster. Vicair is headquartered in Holland.
The Comfort Company’s President, Rick Remitz, says of the distribution agreement, “The inclusion of Vicair is an exciting addition to our current product line, and the future of wheelchair comfort and accessibility.”
The Comfort Company, based in Bozeman, Mont., sells a range of positioning products, including wheelchair cushions, backs, headrests, and laterals. Reach The Comfort Company in cyberspace at www.thecomfortcompany.com.
