The Scooter Store Is Platinum MS Bike Tour Sponsor

February 17, 2006 by Mobility Management

The Scooter Store has become a platinum-level sponsor of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s MS 150 Bike Tour in Texas, the dealership has announced.

More than 50 Scooter Store employees have signed up to participate in the nearly 180-mile bicycle ride that will raise funds for the MS Society, while also increasing awareness of the multiple sclerosis. The Scooter Store is also donating $30,000 worth of scooters and power chairs to the Lone Star chapter of the National MS Society.

Mike Pfister, president of The Scooter Store, says the dealership’s team has participated in the Bike Tour before and called it “a terrific experience… We appreciate the opportunity to get our team together for such a great cause and to support the local MS chapter.”

The April 22-23 bike ride will start in Houston, with riders lodging in La Grange, Texas, overnight. The ride concludes the next day in Austin. Scooter Store employees anticipate raising more than $20,000 for the MS Society by participating in the event.

The Scooter Store is based in New Braunfels, Texas.
