Top End’s certification courses will be presented in Seattle on July 22 and in Orlando, Fla., on Aug. 26, according to a news release from Invacare Corp.
The courses are presented by Jim Black, accomplished athlete and a 20-year seating & mobility industry veteran who joined Invacare in 2005. Says Black, “We need to emphasize the importance of getting back to the basics: who is the client, what are their unique needs and what product best matches that individual’s needs. It is extremely valuable to work as a team in this process, with the client at the center of our decision process.”
Seating & mobility professionals certified by Top End will have demonstrated expertise in the areas of rollability, material selection, frame style, accurate chair and body measurements, and energy conservation and repetitive injury prevention.
“As the industry matures and the focus on education continues to grow, Top End certification transfers that knowledge and ultimately benefits the end-user,” says Mark Sullivan, Invacare’s VP of rehab. Top End is the sports & recreation rehab division of Invacare.
