Unite4CRT will be forming focus groups to work on issues “outside of the Unite4CRT Conversations meeting times,” the organization has announced.
The first focus group — or Affinity group, as Unite4CRT calls it — is the Changing the Medicare Language group, led by industry veteran Jean Minkel, BS, PT.
In a Nov. 18 news announcement, Unite4CRT said, “Jean Minkel has agreed to head up a group of grassroots advocates with a stated goal of getting Congress to modify the [Medicare] ‘in the home’ rule to include ‘in the home and community.’”
“We are asking for volunteers to join our first Affinity group,” the announcement said. “There will be other Affinity groups you can join as 2022 moves along.”
Volunteers interested in joining the first group can e-mail Minkel at jean.minkel@icsny.org.
Unite4CRT is a group of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) stakeholders, including consumers, CRT suppliers, clinicians, manufacturers, caregivers, family and friends advocating for greater access to complex seating and mobility. The group meets virtually on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Eastern.
