United Seating & Mobility Acquires Three RehabTECH Locations

December 2, 2010 by Laurie Watanabe

United Seating & Mobility (USM) has acquired three RehabTECH branch offices in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

In a news bulletin, USM announced it will take over the RehabTECH locations in Fridley, Minn.; Oak Creek, Wisc.; and Appleton, Wisc.

The announcement added that RehabTECH would continue to operate its offices in Illinois and Indiana.

Bob Gouy, president/CEO of USM, said of the transaction, “The addition of RehabTECH’s capable associates and strategic locations will advance our key initiative to sustainable growth as a leading provider. We are very excited to welcome the RehabTECH staff to the USM team and look forward to the opportunities this expansion brings.”

“Any agreement that helps to strengthen our company, as well as the affiliate companies’ position, creates a more stable market and allows us to continue to find ways to deliver quality services and products in the challenging reimbursement environment,” Gouy added.

USM (unitedseating.com) is headquartered in St. Louis and currently employs more than 70 certified rehab technology professionals and 100 factory-trained technicians.
