The April conference hosted by NCART and NRRTS is not only a networking opportunity for complex rehab technology (CRT) stakeholders. Among its goals is to also keep Congress focused on the current events impacting the industry’s professionals and consumers.
Among critical issues right now are a manual wheelchair accessories bill, a separate benefit category bill, and work at the state level to stop Medicaid Cures Act cuts, according to NCART Executive Director Don Clayback.
“If you’re in the CRT business,” Clayback said, “building and maintaining CRT awareness and support on Capitol Hill isn’t optional. We’ve built a solid CRT foundation over the years that has been helpful. But we must continue growing those Congressional relationships to overcome the challenges ahead. This CRT-focused conference offers the chance to take our message directly to Congress, and attendees also benefit from important business sessions and networking opportunities.”
The April 25-26 conference will include the new sessions “The Consumer Perspective” and “CRT Supplier Panel.” Returning sessions include Health Care Policy Panel, Industry Update and Capitol Hill Orientation.
Attendees will meet with members of Congress and their staffs on April 26.
To make the conference as efficient as possible for attendees, the event’s schedule has been restructured, and the reduced fee is $199. The conference’s headquarters is the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Va.
