Recognizing the ongoing challenges facing home medical equipment (HME) providers, VGM Group is offering a new “playbook” resource for industry professionals.
The playbook, called Industry Snapshots: Forecasting 2018, is the first in a series of what VGM described as “comprehensive, downloadable resources that will highlight issues, trends and opportunities facing the DMEPOS industry.”
The free resource includes 12 articles on topics related to compliance, data and security, mega trends, and tax bill implications and the economy, VGM said in a news announcement. VGM leadership provided the “high-level overview of a number of pressing topics and opportunities facing providers and vendors alike.”
In a video introduction to the playbook, VGM & Associates President Clint Geffert said, “2017 was year of resilience amid continued uncertainty within the HME industry, a market that remains complex and challenging. But despite these challenges, opportunities for growth exist and will become more prevalent in the near future.”
In the news announcement, Geffert added, “Where there’s a threat, a great opportunity awaits. Our playbook will provide insight and tips to help providers improve performance and offset risks within their business.
“Today’s market is complex and challenging. However, based on estimates from the Census Bureau, opportunities for growth exist and will become more prevalent in the near future — uniquely positioning our industry to help improve the quality of life for more patients than ever before. Those that are flexible, adaptable and determined to evolve will become industry champions and succeed into the future.”
